Okay,so this is how I spent my Sunday...in Photoshop...:)

I wanted to create a mellow mood in this one...This was really an experiment in creating an environment rather than one main subject with a background. I've never created just a setting before without a subject, so I'm a little nervous about this... :)

Not sure if I'm succeeding here, but I would appreciate some critiques on perspective, colour, and most of all placement of the window! It seems a little off to me.

Here is another version...I can't decide if I should keep the curtain in or leave it out...what do you think?

I like the one without the curtain. I want to look outside. It might look even better as a doorway. Also I would like to see a floor treatment that give some depth to the painting. The colors and textures are really nice.

Matellis: What an awesome mood in your picture! Thanks for showing that to me, I love it! I'm glad you like my picture too! :D Guess we both have a thing for windows huh? *grin*

Euphrosyne: Thanks! I rather prefer the one without the curtain myself. :) I've been toying with the idea of turning that into a doorway since you mentioned it. It would be neat to have some vines sneaking through the corner of a door frame from the balcony...maybe a statue outside...I'll try fiddling with it as I work on my Prospero pic. Thanks for the idea!

just a suggestion - play around with some glow effects around that moon, and make the fog a little more cloudy (thicker/thinner in some places)

as to the floor dilemna, maybe you can paint wooden planks or tiles to give it some perspective
