Awesome work. The pose on your human character could be a little more dynamic, he looks a little stiff. Overall great work though. Good luck in your challenge!
awesome!!
the colours, the concept, the characters.
amazing work.
congratulations

Damn nice textures. Nice render and model!
Nice picture! great detail!
It would look more realistic if he would look down at what he's doing. Tilt down his head...
Otherwise i like his pose :)

what a wonderful image!
very spirited away like!
is tht animated or only a still? (en as tu fait une animation ou seulement une image?)
pourquoi the otarie? une otarie? c est un genre de phoque non? (why the otarie, though otarie was a kind of seal in french..) nothing to do with a sexy teddy bear like this.. i am confused ;0)
the lighting and the grading is very soft and smooth.. yes! truly wonderful image i shall say again!

i agree with the tilt of the head (baisse un peu son menton)
and cld b a little brighter : maybe intensify the light coming from the "fer a souder" (sorry guys dont know the name 4 tht in english ;0) ) to reflect more in her face (he, she?, cute anyway), and maybe on the sides of the hut.. the top shall not b touched to me: those sun rays r perfect!!!
Any chance to get wireframes and approximate render time? (sounds scary!)
Again, this image is superb! :bounce:

5 stars nice lighting
Ow Many thx for replies ! Sorry I can't answer to every one with my english, but I post a little making-of that I made earlier. And another thx for stars and front page :buttrock:
For the technic, it’s 3dsmax 7, Vray and others pluggins . I use box modeling for a lot of elements. References was used for the panda and others decorations.
For him, I used edit poly for modeling, SimCloth on a plan to hide its bottom
and show that it is under construction. Blobmesh were egaly used for some
details (I let to you find where :D ).
http://dransem.free.fr/MODELINGPANDA.jpg
The girl was modeled in the same way, I tried to simulate clothes with
Simcloth but I failed, so I modeled them in pose. I use Vertexpaint modifier for
the girl, I don’t texture her, just colors variations on her skin.
http://dransem.free.fr/MODELINGIRL.jpg
I used Hair FX for grass and trees, and collapse them into polygones and put
materials to them.
Majority of materials was Vray Mtls, I used them principaly for their blurry reflections
http://dransem.free.fr/VrayMTL.jpg
I play with glossiness and subdivisions to find the good material. For diffuse,
bump and specular I used textures hand painted and photos.
The background was render in an other pass with its own lighting
Lighting for characters :
http://dransem.free.fr/Lighting.jpg
1 : Back light
2 : A little sun light with leaves projections
3 : Orange light for the « flames launcher »
And GI/occlusion pass
Finally I mixed the differents pass with the Zdepth for changing tints and
depth of field.

Aieyaieyaie.....I keep seeing things I shouldn't be seein'...cuz I notice that you have interesting (but harmonizing) styles in this work:
The background has a realism/cartoony look to it....whereas the human looks very much stylized 3D (looks more like a doll because of the arms...which I tend to do that too:blush: ). And the foreground and mechanical panda has different variations of realism...I can't pin what type of style of realism that is...but that's what I'm seeing and forgive me for being such a picky potter...I just notice things...ok....
Apart from that it's now under my collection of inspiration...of course it'll let me think through wide range of realism.
Great work, I'm afraid. :) :banghead:
