hello. i have to create a book for a school project where the pages turn one after another, and was wondering what the best way to do this was. any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey

i did something similar using nurves curves with loft (keeping history)
It worked fine but i thinks many people would prefer using bones and poly for this.
Also deformers can probably give realistic results but i personally prefer to control the anim with keyframes.

(Full disclosure: I previously posted this response on highend3d)
There is a section on creating turning pages in Maximilian Schonherr's book Exploring Maya 4. His method uses construction history on three lofted curves.
On the production I'm working on turning pages were rigged with fairly dense fk joint chains to give the animators a lot of control. You could build three fk chains per page from the spine outward to the edge of the book. One on top, one in the middle and one at the bottom.
