Hi Gerets! :)
I saw this portal on another forum (guess which one, dhehehe) and my feelings about this work are obviously the same:
A really great render. Warm colors and a bright overall feeling, i love it!
Bravo Gianni, come sempre!
Stefano
Cool, nice render,
how did you create all the flora? Was it a plugin or are they just simple alpha textures on a plane?
The plants and trees they are great, I'd like to know how you got them so nice :)

Now that I look closer, they do look like textures on a plane to me. But man, that must have been some major work to cut out all the opacity maps.

thanx. I use two planes at 90° (lightscape block's) and textures alfa chanel .tga and I use realworld imagery textures (very good for me). This technique is is truly effective :lightness of file and simplification.
thanx Stefano, I m very happy for your comment!
the compression by CGt is very hard and the sharpen is excessive!

This is very good at first glance, a lot of hard work edge out those leaves.
I think you could apply a sense of depth by reducing the amount of black to the background trees shadow area and blur by distance, while unsharp mask is tempting on every occasions, it is wise to use as required and selectively. Normally, I would select and feather the selection edges before applying unsharp mask or blur.
Anyway, you have got the patient!

X 1.8XL and Dave 3D: thanx...you are much kind!...and I'm very happy!!
X PhilipFong:what you say is right… but if it uses a objective to grandagolare from 35mm is difficult to have blur in the truth. Sure, artistic it is beautifulr... but the truth is not that one. For blur it must use a 50mm at least ...however your suggestion is right and will try to hold account of this...thanx.
ciao ciao
