Really wasnt digin the pose or the background so ive reworked most of the image and I've also done a bit of refining on the robot. Scrapped the story behind it too but still trying to give it a bit of mood. Anyway take a look.
I recon it looking alot better but im not sure. What does everyone think?

Hey, just another little update before i go ot bed.
mh right now you have a robot on his knee in front of a flower. to be honest, thats not soo many emotions for me. if you showed the bruises he took and the damage that comes along with destroying a city (watched godzilla yesterday haha) then perhaps it is a nice contrast to this flower?!
keep painting ;)

Yeah the emotion thing kinda went down the drain, i think ill just focus on painting it and trying to get a nice composition. I mainly did it to practice a bit more so i think thats what ill do with it. I am planning on making him bruised and battered but thats still to come. Anyway thanks for your reply and ill update as soon as i can. Si

I really like your 2D work, almost as much as your 3D stuff. Just make sure you finish it this time! :p
Anyway, the composition looks great and luv the details. Just a suggestion...i think, that maybe, the mood of the image can be drawn out if you had stronger contrasts. Right now there's a lot of ambient light, especially on the ground. I think if you darkened the shadows it would really draw out that single light source...just a suggestion.
i'll be watching this thread

mutedOracle: Cheers dude, its always good to have a little encouragement to keep me goin with stuff. And as to your comment "Just make sure you finish it this time!" to tell you the truth i was just about to drop this project and start something else , but i would like to have a completed 2D piece. Yeah i really agree about the contrast, the picture is really look a bit flat at the moment. I think because of the dark sky as well the picture looks a bit off, coz its lacking those really dark shadows. Anyway i'll get back to work with this one. Thanks for the motivation to keep goin with this and Ill try and post some updates when i have the time, which will hopefully be tomorow.
