How can i import lets say a 3DS file in to softimage XSI

i currently have ver. 2.03

scroll down until 3ds to xsi

convert the max file to dotxsi file, import it to xsi

You'll either have to load it into Max and save it out as a dotXsi or use something like:

MilkShape 3d (http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/)
