Really great,

Donīt know, if critics are welcome, my opinion is:

First thought was that the plant on the picture on the table would "grow" out of the painting (PaintFX).
Could be a great effect.

The table and all the scene, especially the brushes look a bit too clean, kind of never used before.

The rest is very calming (the right word???), makes me want to start painting by hand again !!

Thanks very much!
The image on the table is creat by scan.
The brush is made by MAYA fur.It is very difficult to creat long fur of the brush by MAYA fur actually!Maybe my technicis not good!:)
The image and word is all Chinese painting and Chinese handwriting.
Modeling use NURBS\POLYGON\ASTISAN.
Composite use Shake!

First impression is that everything is too perfect, textures are very uniform and not natural, depth of field would add to the realism because that vase in the background stands out because its just as sharp as everything else

its a great piece of work overall! Dont let my critics discourage you.

The shadows need refinement, or the light source moved, its a hard low angle shadow on the table as if the light is right above it. It doesn't conform with the lighting of the rest of the scene. And the shadows of the stuff on the table don't terminate under the objects, should be a hard dark shadow where the object meets the shadow, these look like they are floating objects, and the painting looks like its canvas is part of the table. Overall though, a good composition. My crits sound harsh but they aren't, just the technical issues I see, should be fairly easy to remedy though. Looks like there are just too many lights in the scene. I like it overall though. I like the detail.

Thank your comment very much!:)
This is my first production of using MAYA actually.I realize the shadow is not dark enough too, perhaps because I use too much light.I shall try to solve these problems in my next production! In fact I use the"depth of field",maybe becuse the distance between the table and the wall is small ,the effect is not clear,or my value setting is not exact.

Every thing is lovely, the only thing I would say is that it looks like its in an office, but that could be changed with lighthing. :)

nothing looks like its actually ON the table... it looks like it's all floating... if you're using 4.5, why not use Mental Ray?

I think youve got a lot of great models in this piece! The composition is a little boring though, nothing really catches my eye, and its just an uninteresting angle. I think the table looks awesome, but i do agree the objects all look like they are floating. The wall and carpet dont match the other objects in the room at all though. I'm not too familiar with chinese archintecture, but it looks like a typical office building, with chinese decorations in it. Also The room looks off balance. Nothing lines up and it just seems to bea bit randomly placed (which is good for the table top stuff, but not necessarily for the room decor) This does look nice though, i love that watercolor painting, did you do that too?
