View Full Version : Spidey WIP
Chris Ollis 02-22-2002, 07:26 PM Just messin' thought it looked quite nice, so I popped it up here (that's assuming this works..... where's the "stick picture in here" button?.....)
If the picture doesn't appear, you can look at it here:

and an earlier one here
http://the3d.ws/artists/chris_ollis/Spidey01.jpg - but that's not as good.
Before anyone says.... it's meant to be a VERY stylized Spidey, hopefully once he's roughed out I'll make him even more spindley and angular.

I like the textures and I like the illumination in the spidey02, but I don't know what I'm looking at. I guess it is spidey's back. Anyway itīs a cool image, abstract but cool.
Sorry for my english.

Sorry, yes, it's Spidey's back, shoulder and a bit of chin.
In a rush of excitement of getting a nice texture done I slapped it up without a decent explanation.
If I get time I'll work on him this weekend, although I just got State of Emergency for the PS2 so I'm probably not going to touch my PC!
Ha ha ha ha! his head came off and I hit the other man with his face!
shocking.

What do you think of state of emergency chris? I'm pretty unhappy with it. the whole thing seems like they rushed the production  Guess i'm just spoiled with GTA3

State of Emergency makes me laugh.
Sure it's no GTA3, but it's exactly what you need after a tough day at the office!
I did question it's merits when I first started playing, 15 minutes in and I was thinking "not sure it's worth the money", but after half an hour and a quick go at the missions I decided it was a damn fine piece of work.
Besides, seeing 100 people running around on screen all nicely smoothed and with no slow down is just a joy to behold.
Don't put any thought in to it - just use it as a release!
- The Last Clone Standing mode is my current 10 minutes of fun (although I really must get it down to under 5!)
