View Full Version : Problem with UV Mapping

I created this model in zbrush 2 and imported it into Maya 5.0 I applied a zbrush created normal map to the bump channel and this is what I get:

Wierd artifacts where showing up. I opened the UV texture editor and noticed that my The poly's UV coordinates have spaces next to each other but the normal map texture was made to have the UV's aligned next to each other.

I played with a lot of the settings in zbrush but cant seem to get the UV's to align next to each other. Anyone know how to do this?

try MRG when you export your model, should help :)

I'm not sure if that's the problem. Here is a main walkthrough of my work flow. This was AUV and all screen shots are from zbrush

As you can see I fixed the seems and they are all aligned with each other. When I create a normal map it breaks them up again but the normal map is based off of them being broken.
