I purchased Animanium Express ($80) at SIGGRAPH 2005 after a great demo from the Sega folks at the TurboSquid booth.The following link leads you to part review, part tutorial and subsequent first Animanium animation.

While it took a little time and effort to prepare a Lightwave segmented model for use in Animanium, the actual animating in Animanium was incredibly fun and fast. My first animation, "Dying Gaul", took me about an hour to create ... which I think is pretty good considering I haven't don too much character animation before.
