Hi,

Does anybody know how is possible to see reflections in realtime on maxs viewport(I mean only reflections nothing else)?
It would be very creat to see how do put the softboxes..u know what I mean. it really would make the lightning much more faster than when u render scene. So I tought is there any directx9 material fx shader wich can do this?

hum . . . you could write one with HLSL using render to texture (6 cameraviews from the midle of the object that shall reflect) and then use tex3d() texture sampling instrinsic with the reflect(i,n) Math Intrinsic . . .

Not sure if this helps, but you can of course use the 'Place Highlight' tool with your softboxes selected to position them wherever you need them to appear on the surface. It works with every object, not only lightsources.
