View Full Version : making one side the same as the other side of the model in real time

when I change something on one side, I want the program to instantly do the same to the other side, so i can see how it looks without having to worry about mirroring...

I know how to do this in 3ds max but i am a newb as far as lightwave goes, so does anyone know if there is a script or plugin that can do this in lightwave3d?:)

Try using the mirror tools from http://www.terryf.dial.pipex.com/htm/plugins.shtml
if the symmetry mode alone isnt doing it for you just bind mirror left to right to one key then bind delete right to another and to check it. If you want both sides to change at once then use the symmetry mode after mirroring!
I think this is better than the 3dsmax way of doing it because you can apply weightmaps as well as modifying, unless of course you can do that in max, I get confused by the stack :) (but I still like it in lw better)
