Is their a problem thats undocumented with the OBJ exporter for Modeler
This thing barely exports correcting 40 % of the time.

Can you give details? I've been using it quite a bit lately for use with Zbrush and It's worked well for me.

I also use it regularly for export to unfold3d. I do sometimes get an error about the verts being relative instead of absolute (or something) not sure if it's down to the OBJ exporter though, it could be something else I've done in LW.

lately
with maya 6.5
I export from LW and load in maya
Error reading file.
usually the more complicated stuff, itgives me fits, I make a bok and export..it works.
The characters are whats the problem:
but no 2 point ploys
single layer objects

Jules,

You could try using the free FBX plugins to export between LW and Maya. You don't need own Motionbuilder to get these. The are on the Alias website.

I have been using Pointoven to bring my objects over and one thing I've noticed is that Poly smooth has a real bad interaction when "hiresing" your characters...
I am getting little holes in my characters...anyone else (in maya-lw land)
