CGTalk - repeating picture

is there a special way to make a small picture repeat itself all over the background? or do i need to use the action recorder?

You can just choose define patern under the edit drop-down. It will ask you to define a selection. You just do that, save it out. Then choose pattern under tool prperties and select your pattern. I know this is an old thread so I'm sure you figured it out by now.

make selection
edit > define pattern

edit > fill... // pattern ; 100% opacity. Fills the screen without a selection.

the best way i gound out to position the right amount is, after u set it up as a pattern, you go to that ying yang thing(the popup sez"create new fill") >>pattern...

this way u get to size it up as u want
