my 112mb PSD file was corrupted as i was trying to save the file and my window 2000 just rebooted itself...

i have tried PhotoshopRecovery and Advanced Photoshop Repair..it turned out to be black. I tried Flobo PSD Recovery .... it did show up my image .. but it was in small jpg.

So i was wondering if anyone know what i should do next or is this file has any chance of being recovered.

thx..!

little to no chance of saving it i'm afraid

if you work with maximise compatability on, you may be able to get a flat version open in illustrator if you have that.

Yes. I had this problem. Apparently it is caused by hardware glitches: power surges, bad memory, etc. The actual fabric of the file is 'stuffed' and beyond redemption. Sorry.

it's one of those misteries of the force.

Sometimes, but not always only occasionally - If you rename the file or open it on a mac you MIGHT be able to recover it. The temp file might still have some information but who knows how much. I would burn those puppies and find a macintosh to open them. It has worked for me in the past - but only sometimes and I am not even sure why.
