View Full Version : developers - How hard is it to write a Popup
moka.studio 08-23-2005, 12:50 PM Mesh Surgery had its own popup with liquid Nitrgen, Samir's Dpi tree as well ( the sap menu since 9.1 would be another one)
How hard would it be to write additional pop-up menus for cinema4d?
I am really REALLY missing tis for my workflow.
Any input from plugni developers would be really appreciated,
thanks,
jp

it's very easy. but if it's just workflow then all you need to do is edit your menus (Window->layout->menu manager), change the "M_GLOBAL_POPUP" one for instance (this is the menu that's b default availavble on the v key), no coding involved at all.

well - no ;)
I have already modified the Global Popup, to have jujst 4 sub-menus (selections, mode, visibility, and axis options...) I find it too cumbersome when it has too many sub-menus ( as by default).
I have assigned shortcuts according to letters for the main commands that I use, for exemple
A+S Axis Show ( show axis...)
A+C Axis Center
A+X Axis X
A+Y
A+Z ....
When I use this I get a popup list of the commands that start with the letter A, for ex., However I would be much more usefull to be able to have several popups ( they do not have to be radial popups, simple lists would be ok), ....
Per, could you do this ?
thanks,
jp
