I wanted to animate something that I enjoy doing myself, so here it is. Let me know what you think.......

It's ok, but i think the viewers eyes is more on the skateboarder than on the skateboard, i think you should expend the scene alittle more, have him do some tricks.

everything seemed fine except the 180 ollie at the end, the rotation is unrealistic, you need to get a video of a 180 ollie and slow it down to frame by frame, so you can see what happens.

I'd have to agree...there doesn't seem to be weight in the 180 ollie. He needs to push down much more in order to show the power of that jump.

His first couple moves, (dropping the board and his first push,) both look like he's losing his balance.
skateboard isn't wobbling/turning at all, those must be some really tight trucks
I'm not feeling any weight to the skateboarder on any of his pushes. More downward motion
push his aniticipation poses more, really have him squat wayy down over his board
the 180 ollie to grind at the end has a wierd lurch in the forward trajectory. It looks like it slows down when he lifts off the ground, and then speeds up to catch up. Really, there should be no change in speed, until the bench slows him down at the end of the grind (not even then, really).

Thanks to everyone for their advice

I went in and tweaked the 180 nosegrind to show a little more weight and speed. I also played with his kicks/pushes and added some more wobbling to the board.

You know what is funny, this is as close to skateboardng as I have come since starting school. WOW!

Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think......

Parts of this are working well, but there are a couple of bits that stand out; the initial jump onto the rail - there's a kind of click that happens, when the character is in the air he semms to pause before he flips the board. If this movement was a little more fluid, beginning when the character lifts of the ground, then it would look more natural.

Also you could give a little more bend and push to the section on the ground where he builds to rail 2. Nice landing off rail 2 though - with that timing throughout you'll have a good clip.
