hi guys, just switching from max to maya, having some trouble with subdivision surfaces, any help is appreciated...
cant connect a subdivision surface... i use the attatch function, under subdivision menu, but it turns my surface into a poly object.... ive frozen transforms and deleted my history before trying to attatch, the surface is a mirror, and so it has the same amount of edges... ive tried this on both a simple cube and a more complicated head im making, same thing... a distorted screwy poly object is the result of an attatch...
also : cant figure out a way to toggle subdivision on/off, is there a way to do this? using polygon proxy mode is kinda confusing way to model for me (being used to max) that, and its super slow...
