Hi all

This is just a fun bit of animation I doing trying to get back into animation. I have used a cool generic rig I found here...

I have decided to animate Napolean Dynamite Dancing. Pretty much interpreting the dance from the movie. Here is the beginnings of how it is going, just really looking for some feedback on what I should work on and how to improve it all really. No facial animation done yet.

(sorry about the link, you seem to have to go into the site and download the animation from there.)

Cheers

Looks fairly smooth, but the part where he lifts his hands off his legs looks very strange and snappy, there's no transition between the two positions at all.

Here is an update of the animation I have done another few seconds.

(Again same as before having to click on link then saving file from there!)

Cheers Kitteh I will look at the hands further, problem there is the change from being constrained to the root to being unconstrained, I have never done that before and when doing it they jump all over the show. I will need to look into it further, cheers.

Hey,
Nice work - love to see what people do with my free rigs. Think the first pose after he turns his back could use a bit more work and I'd love to see some facial - but send me an email cause I'd love to chat a bit. Think it could be a bit snappier overall as well. Makes me wanna go see the movie again, and got a chuckle from my buddies on campus.
