Squibbit, yours is the scariest yet imo :)
Brutal Monk, I've only just seen yours now, please don't think I've ripped off your silhouette style. It was just to be quick on my part because I spent so long finishing off my secret lovers from yesterday.....
Anyway, this is how I feel first thing in the morning - tentaculate, grumpy and badly proportioned.

The Paperdoll
She is light nor dark,
She is beginning nor end,
She is life nor death,
What she is - is unknown:
As all who have dreamt about her
Are gone.
Well, I'm more of a 'he' in real life, but since I'm working on this game I drew what I would find terrifying. I'm getting there, this image spooks me out. About an hour in Photoshop.

Brutal Monk: nice one. May be a cast shadow to ground him a little better.
Dreammaster: nice one :)
Amy: Nice job with that one. If I might take a crack at guessing, it looks like Erilaz grabbed the lasso tool and scribbled randomly, then filled or adjusted the HSV. Looks similar to an activity done on Sijun some yeas back.

augustus - nice work on the clothing, very elegant
doomdragon - excellent concept and a fun costume design. I wish I had thought of that...
LoTekK - very funny, shaggy hair is well done, but I think cookie monster had fingers(?). Very muppet-like eyebrows!
yAdam - Not sure if the blood would drop off the fangs like that (unless the fangs are more like tusks). good eyes, and wrinkle on the bridge of nose.
Gord MacDonald - layers upon layers upon layers; Initial glance seems simple, but a second look reveals a lot of detail in the face.

A slightly different take on the subject... how I would look if I was a monster:
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a268/Imagus/DailySketch/442-IfIWasAMonster.jpg
(don't mind the fingers. Eesh... :p)
Medium: pencil on sketch pad, with final touches (sky and mountain color) added in Photoshop. Original Size: 9" X ~11" (scanned in at 8.5" X 11")
Drawing: ~1 hour
Photoshop: ~15 minutes
Total: ~1 hour, 15 minutes
Of course, I couldn't resist adding to the play-on-words and giving the monster a single "eye"... ;) Plus... did anyone catch the hidden phrase? :deal:

Imagus, welcome! Nice first one.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. :)
I'm glad that the original concept came out the way I pictured it on paper. Maybe even a little more so... that's one freaky-looking member of the alphabet! :D
Alphabet-based horror is a severely under-emphasized device in art, don't you think? ;)
"I'M FEAR"? What's that supposed to mean? :)It could be "I'M FEAR" or "I AM FEAR". (The latter was what I had in mind... I + M + FEAR)
Now picture a deep-voiced, evil demonic giant shouting it...
"I... AM... FEAR!"
...
All right, all right... it's cheesy. But I couldn't resist. :p I was originally just going to have the letters "F E A R" running away in... well, themselves, but I decided at the last second to put in a devoured letter, and "M" seemed the logical choice.
Thanks for the comments. And a "good job" to you as well... love the skin texture on your monster. Keep up the good work!
