Hey guys, while modeling I hit "+" to see what the model would look like smoothed, and I get this strange bend in my mesh:http://ee.1asphost.com/jin32603/WIP-Question.jpg

Any ideas of how to solve this and what's causing it? Thanks!

Cheers

Try increasing the smoothing cause it could be you have too little smoothing for that or if that doesn't work move one point just alittle in the error area and see if it fixes anything.

Looks like you may have some verts that arent welded. Make sure you dont have any hidden edges, or verts.

No hidden/dangling vertices that I can see and moving the edges doesn't help either...how strange.

from the looks of it you have vertices in the middle that are not connected , just delete them or connect them together.

This is just the automatic discontinuity for the normals. Go into your object's "geometry approximation" ppg and under the polygons tab increase the slider untill it goes away.

Yup it is discontinuity, another thing u should look at is the mesh that the "Mesh smooth" is actually creating. This way u can see how it is adding geometry.
