View Full Version : Shake Hologram Effect

Hey everyone, just working on a hologram effect I created in Shake. The main part I'm trying to work on is the flickering and static effect for my footage. If anyone knows a way to make a better flicker or something else I can do to tweek this a little more that'd be great.

I wrote a tutorial on my site to explain the steps I took to make this effect. Any CC welcome. thanks

Anyways. Nice effect--just a couple of suggestions:

First, can you reduce the opacity of the hologram itself? The Star Wars holograms seem to show the background through the hologram. (Not much, but a little). Also, can you animate the scan lines and make them travel upwards? That would give it more of a "projected" feel. . . also I think that's what the SW holos looked like.
