Please be mercifull with your crits. I'm just begining. I would love if could help with the hair and lips. Couldn't get the hang of it. This pic was done in Photoshop. This looks pretty good:applause:

Although that nose of hers is pretty worrying to me, in the finished picture it looks as if it pointed upwards, it looked great in previous images but then it sorta look a bit off (my guess is its the color). Then again, Im no guru, so Im not one to criticise :)

I kinda actually like this one...she kinda looks almost like a friend of mine that i know.

He Ragnorak, that's a pretty good one

Your questions:
Hair: take a really rough brush and set it to big (and I mean BIG). Paint the whole hair at once with it, from the dark parts to the light. Will save a lot of time and it will look better.
Lips: upper lip should allways be darker than the lower lip. (Except when the light comes very obviously straight from below.)

And one from me: make a selection of both eyes at the same time, and rotate that selection a bit clockwise. Your perspective is a bit off there.

Tip of the day: when you paint a character or portrait, now and than flip your piece horizontally. That's a real eye-opener while painting. For traditional media, I usually use a mirror or lighttable.

Good luck and cheers, Jeroen
(Oh, and please don't post 7 attachments again. When you need to show different steps, please host those pics somewhere. Thanks.)

Jeroentje: I love your work!! Thanks for taking the time
to crit my little painting. :D
I did that "flip verticaly" thing. And noticed that the face had
many mistakes. But I failed to correct them, got to try again, later. :) Sorry about posting all pics here. I though it would be easier to browse like this. But I guess I not everybody has a fast connection. Sorry again. Oh! Great tip about the lips! got to do that!! :wip:
