Hello all,
Yesterday evening I downloaded the R8 demo from the installer at work. :) Took great advantage of the highspeed line. But I didn't get a chance to try it out. Now I'm on vacation for a while so I had burnt the installer and the 126-meg CINEMA 4D Release 8.dat the installer downloads. I'm hoping there's a way to install from this without having to download all over again. (56k here at home) And anyways, for some reason the installer hangs and uses 100% CPU when "searching for installed components"

Any ideas? i'm really looking forward to trying this out!

hi im on a 56k also and it took me almost 3 days to download the full demo and I too had a dat file. what i did on the 3rd day was "re-download" but it actually did was re update the files and add the ones i was missing finally a few hours later it finished the missing files and it opened the installer program to iinstall the demo.. just have a bit of patience do it when you go to bed when you get up it should dbe ready to install
