Alright, I'm having 2 problems when I am trying to add a fur to a NURBS plane (grass). Its a fairly large scale plane and here are the two problems.

1) The grass is not random enough nor is it very dense, I set the baldness to none, but I still so only some grass here and there not covering all the surface of the NURBS plane.

2) I can't seem to get the grass to be effected my the atmosphere is set....even though I made fog, the grass shows bright as day....what options am I missing here.

P.S. if anyone has anytime I've never used fluid effects or tried to make a small "river" I was wondering if you guys know of a tutorial I could take a look at to figure out how to do this...thanks :)

there should be a density attribute node in the fur descriptor. Just increase the number by 10 or 20 thousand and see if that starts to helps.

You do what essax said and you can also increase the subdivisions a bit more then reapply the fur. Make the base color of the grass darker or lower intensity?
