Greetings to all. I live on Ukraine in city of Kiev and I study at school. In 3ds max hardly there is more than year. As at me now a holidays the free time has appeared to start the new animation project. It is my second serious work.

Nice psychodelic colors, the modeling is nice, and it seems you just need a pilot in there, so get to work :beer: . REally nohing wrong with this image that I could spot. Keep up. What's it going to be about? The animation I mean.

Oh man you have a great work in modeling specially in the shaders, i like much.:bounce:
Wich technique did you use? nurbs? subd?
and you can share those shaders cause are great?

Yes I work now above the pilot... If you played Ballistics that you should understand on what this animation is similar. In one week I shall lay out the first animation tests.THX

I used SubDivision in 3ds max 5. It was rendered with the help of demo versions Vray... Soon I shall lay out the shaders...

Started to make the pilot... As him it will not be visible almost during animation, I do not pay a lot of attention to details.

Ia nikogda ne igral v ballistic, eto gonki? Mne bol'she chetvertii variant nravitsia. A dlia pilota mnogo ditalei i ne nado, a patom s textyroi i voobshe bydet otlichno. :-)

Forgot about pilot . Start animation !! I guess you can show really
fast speed in the movie. Pilot can't be seen in 800 km/h.

That new texture on the new racer is awesome! The best textures so far were on that last image and on the first one you posted.
One suggestion to make it more realistic... You need to have some visible seams between the window and the rest of the racer's body... Even if it's just a little seam to show that it isn't one single surface.
Don't make the seam too deep, that might hurt the aerodynamic look of the vehicle.

Great! This one looks like a military style Racer . Similar that half of transport the engine and borrows apertures in front is the coolers. It is no hot the pilot?

I like the design of the racers, very futuristic 'feel' to it.
I hope to see the animation soon and see what kind of idea's you had for the scenery for it.

Hellrender:you must decided what software you will use in the future? I think that you have you own reasons that you moved to the Maya... and it is very powerfull software. But why you want to change Maya for 3ds max? You dont may to rush...
As for me Max is better, because it more simple and more friendly.
Those material I created for about 1 minute, using Vray glossiness settings...its very simple.

yeah, i was wondering how erka got that brushed steel look on that 3rd ship, but it looks like he wont tell details :shrug: i could use some help with getting HDRI files into max for brazil. i have .hdr files, but i cant import them into the environment, to use as a map. any ideas? this is the best i can get w/o using an HDRI map for reflections/lighting:

Ха... ты тоже по русски говоришь... очень приятно здесь встретиться.
А материал и правда очень простой... тут скорее дело в отражении так как есть окружение.
Это всего лишь пара настроек в максовском(Врей) материале.
А в Майе сложно такое сделать?

Да незнаю насколько в Майе это сложно сделать, Я с Макса перешёл на Майу почти год назад, а с материалами и Рендером не работал вообще почти. Сначала хочу моделинг освоить, а там уже и материалы :D
Как только до этого руки дойдут - дам знать :D
