I have the base model and expressions + visemes of a face modelled already. They are separate .obj files that share identical topology.
Is it possible to import into Maya the whole set of files so they are read as blend shapes of the base model?
I guess that this is the other way round to creating blend shapes by duplicating and deforming a base model in Maya.

Yes it is possible. Just import the models and then select them and the shape to be doformed and create blendshapes.

Thanks; I've imported them one by one and selected and created the blend shape as posted.
Is there a way of automating this for n number of set of files and blend shapes? Is there by any chance a script for this that you may remember having used?
Thanks!

It would not be too hard to write a script for this but AFAIK there is not one lying about.

be very carfull if using .obj as this format does not keep vertex order.
