Hi there!

I have started a new project, a lowpoly Wolverine.
My target is to keep the model under 3700 tris, with a 1024x1024 texture map for diffuse. I'm still thinking if I'm going to use normal maps on this one.

Polycount right now is 3688 tris.
Hope you like it.

I had to stop this project for a while, but now I'm back and started a high poly version to make normal maps. I wasnt thinkig about it. I planned to make this one in the good old budgets... But, what the hell... I've changed my mind.

Hi dude
I don't know the anatomicly correct of this model, but for a first view looks good. I think the normal map on what You deside are a very nice choice. I can't wait to see this one normlamapped.
Keep it up
Cool work:thumbsup:

In that last pic, the back of the neck looks odd, but other than that, it looks amazing!

Thanks a lot guys! :)

I'm short of time for working on this model. But everytime I find the time, I tweak it a little bit.

Now I'm working on a high poly version for generating normal maps.

Still needs lots of tweaks and details.

Hair, claws and shoes are just for reference.

C&C are allways welcome ;)

Cya! :)

Cool model!

I've been watching this one for a while, especially like the high res model.

One comment I have got though is the face of the highres model looks really old, like an old man's face on a young body.

Thanks a lot guys :)

I'm not having enough time for personal projects, so I'm working on this model really slowly.

Right now I decided to stop tweaking the hi res model and go back to the low poly one. After all it's a low poly project ;)

Hope you like it!

Very nice! The topology is very good and the highres mesh is incredible. I would add some definition to the biceps, they look very boxy at the moment. Otherwise good job!

hey!!

cool model. i saved the pics to my reference file already.
no crits from me that i can see, but i would like to ask you a question.
how many poly's are acceptable in the hands on this sort of budget?
i ask because i'm creating a model to a similar budget at the moment but my modelled hands aren't nearly as poly heavy. and they weigh in at about 260 tri's.
so is it acceptable for that budget to have 6 sided fingers?
thinking about re-modelling the hands i made last night, not sure though.

cheers!!

very nice model :) and textures :applause:

aham:
There is sth wrong with his shirt, on the sides it is so small that I can see muscles underneath, on the front of it folds give a look like its even to big for him..

99sproth - Thanks :)

Osirus - Thanks for the advice :) I worked on the arms, hope you like it.

ROB - Hey, it's a Wolverine model! If I don't make hands good enough for close ups I wont be able to make good "Snikt!" scenes :) Maybe, in another model I would have done a five sides finger, or even a four sides... It depends on the model, and what the model is supposed to do. Thank you :)

Hatred - Thanks :) That's funy, I really don't see the shirt as you do... But thanks for your oppinion, let's see if others think the same way. Thank you.

Agreed, one crit though, I don't recall the claws being between his fingers, I thought they started on top of the hand, two inches before the nuckles.

I've watched this thread for awhile. I think the lowpoly is just great with the normalmap! When the textures are finished it will be super!

i think the Wolverine from the X-Men films has the blades come out from inbetween his knuckles. though i haven't checked it, so i could be wrong.

cheers!!

Pedro that is a very nice looking model. At first it looked a little odd to me but as you worked on it, everything came together. There is one area that keeps catching my eye when I look at your high poly version. The definition in the pectoral is a little too low. Keep up the great work.
