ok basically i am making a model for a game. the limit is 500,...well i assume i am alloud to go a bit over that...so far i have about 520 polys on it...now..i want to ad something onto it..but i don't know weather i should use polygons or just use a plane and use alpha map on it..
now i want to know which would be more efficient.
the game is already using normal maps, and diffuse maps(naturally)...i want to knwo what would be better...to add maybe another 20 - 30 polygons to the model, or to have a Alpha map on the whole model...
