Her boobs have to be way bigger my man, and a slimmer waist if it's anime!;) :D

Damn. You need practice. I'm going on a bit of a negative rant here, but my criticism is intended to be constructive. So don't feel bad.

First of all, how is it anime? Because her eyes are shiny? If you really want to draw in some anime style, take another good look at what defines that particular style.

Try this one, for example:
http://www.animewallpapers.com/wallpapers/slayers/full_4_800.asp

If you observe both images, you'll notice that your "anime style" has some shortcomings. To fix this, try the following:

- Clean up your lines.
- Draw your character with long, almost straight lines.
- Draw bigger eyes. Fill them with white instead of skin colour. Make sure the highlights in the pupils come from the same direction.
- Use cell shading instead of gradients. In fact, don't use gradients at all, they're horrible.
- Make her lose a few pounds!
- Make her chin sharper.
- Change the shape of her mouth a bit, especially the upper line. Remove the little wrinkles around the corners.
- What happened to her hair? She seems to be wearing a cardboard wig or something.
- Her hair looks smudgy! Don't colour it like that! And stay inside the lines!
- Don't use such big fat lines for her nose. All lines should be very thin, except for her upper eyelashes. Also, the shape ofer her nose is wrong in this angle.
- You drew two different eyebrows. Both are wrong; they should be thick near her nose and very thin at the other end.
- Draw more defined collar bones, and change their angle.
- Her neck should be thinner, straighter, slightly longer, and shaded.
- Her bra/bikini looks like you drew it with a ruler. Her boobs are not completely flat, now, are they? And the string to hold it up is sticking out above her right shoulder. What happened to gravity? Or perhaps she bought the thing a few sizes too big?

And my last tip: don't draw anime style. You'll just lose your identity in an ocean of millions of mediocre anime-artist-wannabes. Try to do something original instead.

I'll probably get flamed for being so blunt... Oh well, so be it.

Hi Dave,
When you want to improve your drawing, read more comic books and copy the pics you like from it (that is a very good practice, but keep those to yourself. People will flame you when you post those here ;) ).
You also might want to check out some links from this thread: http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19859
Make a good sketch before you do a final drawing and take your time for it.

Good luck, Jeroen

Don't give up!

Just draw more and put your feeling into it! (same goes for myself)
The legs on the flash one looks a tad too skinny, and I would give more definition to her cleavage

You could maybe check out the 2D tutorials thread, it rocks :buttrock:
