Riot Films is a growing 'machinima' film production group. Machinima is an exciting new media format, utilizing real-time 3D technologies such as those used in modern videogames to create films. Our film, titled 'Only The Strong Survive II: Delusion', is a sequel to our popular and award winning machinima film released last year. You can watch and download it for free on our (website (http://www.riot-films.com/)).
We need 3D modellers and animators to create and bring to life the characters of the film. You will need your own system or have access to one. Modellers will be using 3ds max, Maya, or XSI to create low poly (5000-10,000 polys), fairly realistic looking human models. Examples the characters that will be created can be found below.
We are using the Source engine, used in the recent game Half-Life 2.
The film is a complex revenge story, one full of surprises, shocking twists, and plenty of intense action. The flexibility of the machinima platform allows us to create high budget spectacles, without the high budget.
The film is a mixture of film noir, blood opera action, heavy suspense and mystery. It will be approximately 40 minutes, to be released in three separate parts. We plan to release the first act before the end of this year. It will be filmed in high definition (720p), 24p, and 2.35:1 Cinemascope widescreen.
The film will initially be distributed to a free internet TV channel to be seen by hundreds of thousands of people. This is mostly a volunteer project, but everyone involved in the project will receive:
1) A small cash payment upon completion of the project.
2) Credit.
3) DVD copy of the film, including a full resolution, high def WMV version.
4) An opportunity to work on future projects which will likely be paid positions.
In addition there is a strong possibility of deferred payment after the release of each act, depending on the success of the internet channel. Please post with a portfolio or samples of your work, if avaliable. You can also email me at jc6k@hotmail.com, or find more details at our website.
