I'll assume you will add this to the list of "LW used in various productions".

The forums are due for the "if LW is so good how come it's not used in Hollywood, TV, etc." thread.

funny,I've had a look in the video section of the lw gallery and saw no more than a few shorties...

aren't you guys forgetting the all-lightwave studios like project wivern (http://www.ceres.dti.ne.jp/~wivern/)
and the likes?

want a proof that lw particles blast the ones in max?
watch this (http://www.3dcg.ne.jp/~wivern/GunTwenty/images/GunTwenty.mpg )

That's awesome!
:applause:

How do they DO those explosions?? They are fantastic... The render times on those hypervoxel's must have been horrendous!

i agree... more vids in the video section! i said it before, and i'll say it again: i didn't get this broadband connection for nothing you know!

all the sites need more videos, Newtek, Alias|Wavefront, Maxon, Softimage... damnit pretty pictures is why we became artists in the first place!

Should we start a pool... how long till A/W claims responsibility for this project?

Those are just HV's baby. They just finally decided to suck up the rendertimes.... not so bad now that 10 2ghz amd's costs like 6000 bucks. HV's kick butt. ( I would like a look at thier settings though, or ones of thier scenefiles.... proton? Maybe you can arrange that.)
