that is just lovely. It is great to see some more traditional pieces comming out of cgtalk rather than just painting of monsters and robots (not that they aren't nice in their own way). Also great use of 3rds. The only thing I would change is just up the lighting contrast a little to give it a little more mood and maybe just bring the lightness down a little on the whole image. Looks really great though

yah!! thats a great painting there. i actually like the lightness of the pic. the clothes are awesome.hey you gotta do more of these, you really got talent and an eye for this stuff, makes me want to paint something. YOU ROCK!!:buttrock:

Great piece of artwork man, i love it.
I would even try to convert it in sepia tones to see how the atmosphere changes...

This is my first posting of material and it feels o-so-nice :) :)
The concept was derived from two photgraphs that I had taken, however many of the aspects were fortunate mistakes. The reference man's face was quite a bit different. A few quick slips of the stylus and he suddenly had so much more life. :scream:
Once again, thank you all so much. I will certainly post more of my work for critique and critisism. This is indeed a wonderful community.
