This is a design for the CD of the band of a friend. She plays the saxophone in this 20 people bigband. Let me know what you think.

Nice work Jeroen. It reminds me of Guernica, I think because of the B&W and the style. Is there someplace to here a sample of the music? I like Big Band stuff, especially if the singer is good.

edit: your world is really ****ing flat! I don't know what to say. Are you okay with this mod thing?:surprised

A couple quick sugestions...

-At a glance the female leg on the left looks almost like a design on the pants. If the toe or the heal (or the whole leg) were extending outside the pant leg it would help distinguish it.

-The fonts are a little plain. A snazzy font would really 'JAZZ' up the design.

The cover is awsome. :thumbsup:

Nice job there. Really cool idea to have the band pushing through the door. The only things I think you could work on are the fonts which look a little out of place, and the top frame of the door. You should leave the frame how it comes down like an "A" shape, but the slanted top frame doesn't seem to allow the title font to sit well.
Just some suggestions. Let us know if you make any changes.

You are right about the title font. It is a bit boring, I will see if I can find a better one. I'll post updates of the cover when I've made those. I'll not start that before I get the text corrections for the inlay and the booklet though. So that might take a while.

I think you should leave the font. Classic Jazz Cover design here. I'd leave it, its simple and classy.

I agree with Amun_Wapaq.

I was in a symphonic band once, to me, the simple and neat title font gives a professional and organised feeling.

The picture of the instruments and all the people trying to push thru that door....it really brings back memories...:)
