Yes, you can set up the DVD as a mountable drive.

Very much so. The data from the DVD drive will have to be cached to that person's HD before it is sent over the network. This results in alot of data movement.

This mountable drive will be something like a virtual DVD drive?
How can I make this setup?
Thanks

Hmm, is there any other way else seting up the DVD as a mountable drive? Seems this is something not so common, as till now no one told how to do. :)

Yes and no. Yes you can mount the drive and see the contents, but no dvd software I know of will play over the network due to the encryption. The software will only do the decryption on a local drive, your only option I know of it to rip the dvd first, or play it on the computer with the drive with videolan and then stream it to the other computer.

I'm pretty sure VCL player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) will do the trick.
