I've noticed something odd recently. Photoshop CS2 doesn't seem to be unloading from memory after I exit, leaving me with large chunks of RAM eaten up needlessly. If I quit, do something else, start up PS again, and quit again, I end up with two instances in RAM. Three or more if I continue. Also, another process "Adobelm_Cleanup.0001" gets left behind as well. (one per session of PS I've run, and one additional one while PS is still running). Anybody else experienced this, and know why/have a solution? The following pic was taken when I started Photoshop a second time.

i get the same with CS but it usually closes after 30-45secs, and on another machine it stays open like in your example.

After more testing, it appears to be inconsistent. There are times the processes remain in memory, and I have to end them manually, but other times it closes without incident.

i had something similar in max...turned out to be ati drivers doing it.

if you are getting a lot of forced quits, check your hd for temp files..you may have a lot of space being used by ps temp files.

Well, a quick through all the temp folders netted nothing from PS, thankfully, so at least it's not leaving stuff behind. It seems to play nicely most of the time, only occasionally leaving itself in memory. I guess I'll just have to remember to check the process list whenever I quit PS.
