View Full Version : Problems with eyedropper tool.
meta87 08-15-2005, 01:17 AM Does anyone else have problems with the eyedropper tool choosing the right color? Sometimes the color is alot more grey then the color on the canvas. I'm using Photoshop CS2, but I had the same problem back in Photoshop 6.
It's really bothering me, any help would be greatly aprecciated! :)

the problem i think your setting is 3 by 3 or 5 by 5 in the option bar.
also, if you want exact color, zoom in to see more pixels
Oorrr :)
open the image you want to sample color form and save foe web as gif, make high guality and from the table tab, click the ar that pointing to the ritght and save color
now load the colors inside color palette :)

I'm not sure this is what Dizainland explained but you might be using indexed colors, try changing to Image>Mode>RGB color.
keep in mind that cmyk colors might look more dull, but this shouldn't affect eyedropping:
an image in rgb mode:

converted to cmyk:

Though if you can still use the RGB color picker (even in CMYK mode), and the colors won't really match.
