This was a concept created for the Demon Prince ThunderDome over at http://www.conceptart.org

Iron Lore Entertainment(the company I work for) recently purchased the entire run of analog DVD's from Gnomon Workshop http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com. I just made it through the Iain McCaig set and wanted to create a character study in the same composition he demonstrates in the DVD's. A body study and a head study.
As far as any other influence with the direction I took, just over a year ago I turned down an offer to work on Prince of Persia Warrior Within. This was extremely hard for me to do because it’s been a dream of mine to work on a game like that. I just wanted to give him a bit of a feel of that series.

greetings,
im a huge fan of your work and am diggin his corpulant arm and almost innocent face, but overall i feel this concept is lacking. he looks to me as someone who is undergoing a change into demon form. by his appearance he looks like a peasant who has recently been possesed and is now showing the effects rather than a demon of nobility. maybe he was a human prince and now turned demon?

it depends on what your going for but i think a demon prince would have more ornate and elaborate attire and emanate a more powerfull darkness.

the rendering, colors, and textures are all superb but i think you can take the concept a bit further! :)

meh, i think the concepts are prity strong. without knowing any story I'd say he was a human that has been infected somehow by a demon form and is changing. The title "prince" might not be so litteral. Prahaps he is simply growing more powerfull and may someday defeat the "king" of darkness? so earning the title "prince" for now.


it would be nice to see a prop or two, a knife, sword, pendant, or ring. but overall awsome character. I love it.
