View Full Version : A little help with Gnomon DVD..

So I just got this (http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/dvds/khu01.html) DVD and wanted to know how to modify the shelf and install the new Maya tools that come with the DVD. Oh and I have Maya PLE but if thats a problem Ill just get Maya from Journeyed.com

well, the tools and scripts probably come with their own doc files so you should probably look at those first. I know if their using MJPolytools, then there should definitely be a text file for that.

Basically, you'll have to first install each of the tools according to their own setup documents. Then when you want to put them on a custom shelf, you should open up the shelf editor and create a new shelf (blank). Then you can move the tools (which are in pull down menus) onto that shelf by a combination of holding down the cntrl-shift (I think, maybe its cntrl-alt-shift) keys when you use the tool. That'll put it on your new shelf. You can also move existing tools this new shelf in the same way, great for customization.
