It's just some over-enthusiastic American commentary over footage from the trailer.

[edit] I read that as "review", not "preview". There is some extra footage there compared to the trailer. It looks cool as always :p

Having not read the books, I have little idea of what to expect from the story... but I really think this one looks great. Hopefully the best of the bunch thus far.

Yeah, I can't wait for this one either! I try not to think about it much... that way it'll come by faster :D

Just for kicks, I found out this movie is gonna be rediculously pricy. Probably the most expensive movie to dat. 308 million... holy shit. that's all I have to say about that.

I guess you have to look at the cost in terms of return for investment. According to the commentary the franchise has earned over 3 Billiion dollars worldwide, that's some serious boxoffice horsepower.

My god!-.. such voiceovers should be banned from our reality.

Movie looks like... well, I didn't see any of the movie, I just saw some special effects shots. Wonder what the movie looks like.

It looks like he's in college by now. Is there a special college for wizards, too?

A college is implied for things such as Auror training, but they stay at Hogwarts til they're 18, and they're only 13/14 years old for this one.
That's if you was being serious.

we'll see Voldemort alive for the first time. Isn't that trilling!

Looks pretty interesting. To bad I haven't seen any of the movies or read any of the books. :) As for the voiceovers, well its from a entertainment news show and all of those people are faker than a Dale Williams wip.

You should try some ~ they are addictive.

And Daniel Radcliffe is 15, not in college yet, he's just very mature looking. I can't understand why Hermione doesn't go for him, but maybe that's just me. The books/movies are supposed to each be one year, so they should film them a little faster if they don't want the cast to grow up faster than the story.

I've heard a few rumblings that they're going to recast for the next one... not sure how many grains of salt should go with that rumor, but we will surely not see these 3 leads in the final 2 movies...

I can see the 7th movie in my mind with a 28 year old Daniel, playing a 18 year old... it isn't going to work.

Actually I think Daniel is 16 or 17 now, not 15.

Funny, there's a great tradition in film/TV of casting twentysomethings as teenagers.

Hopefully they'll continue with the current cast, they're pretty much synonymous with the characters now.

Yeah, I don't think the audience would "buy it" if they swapped actors after 5 films, I know personally I wouldn't.
We've "grown up" with these actors as the characters, as the character ages, so does the actor, (granted not at the same rate ;) ), there is a lot of emotional investment in their stories, plus, it's great to see them developing their skills. I'd hate to have some "unknown face" take their places for the last 2 or 3 films, I just don't think the populace would warm to them as much, so that means less bums on seats. That fact alone, (less profit) may hopefullly make the powers that be wonder about changing actors. Of course, there is a danger the actors themselves could "out-bid" their participation in future work, but one hopes that would not be the case.

I must admit, I held off reading the books, one because of the hype, and two, because I (mistakenly) assumed they were kiddie books.

That's all changed, I had the HBP on pre-order and read it through over one weekend and I am really looking forward to this movie. My wife hasn't read the books, but loves the films, especially Alan Rickman as Snape. The scenes in Azkaban with him and Gary Oldman were electric, two of our best UK actors onscreen - very cool.

Yeah, there's no need to re-cast. Kids at that age grow up at different speeds, some look older than others even if their the same age. Besides, I remember in the second film there was a ghost student called "moaning Mertle" or something like that, and as far as I know the actress that plays her is actually about 34 or so.

That works fine for characters with massive CG enhancement, but Harry already looks far too grown to play the role... The next movie he'll have a beard (j/k).

They will recast at least 2 of the 3 leads before the last movie IMO... but probably just recast them all earlier.

For me personally, I think he still fits the role fine and although he may be older than the age he is portraying, they are growing up - and I think it is just the "life journey" part I'd have trouble swallowing if a new actor came on - just would seem very odd.

There is no way they will recast unless somebody else croaks it like the actor that played Dumbledore did. I know I wouldn't care to see a movie with different actors in the roles.

Hopefully they will have a more faithful adaptation than the last film though... The ending of HP 3 was a travesty, while the book had a really satisfying ending. (In general I thought it was good though.)

What bothered me the most about the third one was that they left out the explanation of who it was that really made the Marauder's Map and exactly why Professor Lupin felt it was so imporant that Harry get it back in the end.

Despite my fears of this thread becoming a movie vs book debate, I feel compelled to reply anyway. :)

Im pretty sure that in book 3, it was not divulged who made the marauder's map. Im sure we can expect to get that revelation in the next movie.

Actually it was explained in book 3.

Film 3 was the weakest of the bunch thus far for me (not least because It missed nearly all the goodness of the book and added a bunch of schamltzy filler in it's place, and totally changed and dropped so much of the continuity from the previous films).

However this trailer looks pretty nice, I'm looking forward to it no end, if just for the Moody character (who I hope won't be reduced character wise too much).

I hope they won't recast them. These movies are the best book adaptation ever. I don't want to see any others actors ;)

I'm reading Halfblood Prince right now, and it is very funny to read 'how fast they all are growing' ;D I think this is written to explain why actors in movies are so mature ;)

Yeah I was really pretty frustrated with what all was cut from book 3, but at least The movie more or less got the tone right. Still don't buy Gary Oldman as Sirius tho...

They are going to really have to pull a rabbit out of their hats in order to do Justice to GOF though... Hitting the right emotional points (The ones that punch you in the gut) will be vital.

I'm also a big fan of the moody character, I hope they get him right.

I've had that thought myself :)

Don't let anybody spoiler the book for you BTW! (I could murder the guy that spoilered the biggest suprise for me.) IMO The book is as good as OOTP.

Finished without any spoilers. This is saddest (I don't know how to say that :P, english is weird  ) book of serie :( But I think it's my favourite so far, and BTW, I want next one RIGHT NOW! I feel quite sad just because there only one left :( That's good there are four films left.

And yeah, I'm also fan of Moody, I cannot wait for movie... And I like Gary Oldman as Sirius, but I loved him in every movie I've seen him :). They just could let him act a bit more :/ 3rd movie was too short.
