hey there, here is a new render I did last week,
tried a realistic 19th century-scenery with an absinthe glass and the classical spoon...I was inspired by a scene in "From Hell" .

Nice image.

The thing that gets me right away is the bump/displacement map on the wine bottle label. Why is it there? I have seen some that have some depth, but never to that extent. I would reduce that or get rid of it completely. It just doesn't look right IMO. But if you have based it on an axctual bottle, then I stand corrected.

I like that fact that you made the oil from the candle wax bleed into the paper. Good touch there.

Tu te fais du mal, l'Europe te manque. :)

Nice lighting, but your caustic doesn't look shiny...
Did you touch up the pic in photoshop ?

Else, the garlic seems to be too specular (Thats very soft, try some falloff perhaps).

Bye old chap
(et je ne suis pas une citrouille, 'culé)

hehe, nopé not retouched in toshop ;)
*i could effectively add more intensity to the caustics,
for the specular on the ail, I'll change the texture in the
channel, ur right i could also decrease the value,
anyway whatever i won't go back on that scene, I've
other projects ;)

t'aing ça commence à faire frête -8 !

a+
