View Full Version : Saturday Night Racin'
Tylerb59 11-01-2002, 12:51 AM This is a game model I've posted once before here, but optimized quite a bit and placed into a more render suited scene.
Modeled with splines in 3ds Max 3.1, rendered in Brazil 0.4 alpha.
Funny thing though, I met Scott Kirvan (Splutterfish) the other day at a 3d show and it turns out he's a Petty fan. Really cool guy, was neat to meet him also.
Anyway, tell me what you think!

I think it looks decent as is, but if you step back from your monitor a few steps it looks like a photo.

yeehaw im not the only redneck nascar fan into cg:beer: :drumrock:
Nice job. The cars seem to be a little long, but could just be the camera angle.
Great work!!

Thanks guys!
Actually, they are local type latemodel stocks... The ones you would most often find racing late into the night on the weekends.
You might be used to looking at Winston Cup stocks, or something similar to that but these particular build of stock cars are a bit stretched out while still being a little shorter in height.

hmm.. Actually, I am very familiar with them. They show the races here very late at night. I just didn't think they were that long. Honest mistake I guess.
Again, great work!
