Hi,

I have a single cloud in the scene and a directional light.

Directional light has a ray trace shadows.
fluidShape/Lighting/RealLights[ON]
/Self Shadow[OFF]
When light at the side of the cloud {see fig001 (http://www.scac.ru/su/export/en/images.html)http://www.scac.ru/su/export/pics/flash/fig001.jpg}... image is pretty good.
In other words, a real volume of the cloud is visible.

When light at the front all becomes a flat {see fig002 (http://www.scac.ru/su/export/en/images.html)}((((
Cloud is not a cloud.

For the future integration into environment a correct lighting is necessary.
I needs a front lighting for scene.

How it's possible to correct?

Thanks

the only thing I can think of mate is to light the cloud as you have done and dissasociate those lights (spotlights A-C for example) from anything else.

Then when your scene is in the shot and your lighting that (spotlights D-F) be sure to dissasociate them from the cloud in the light linking? oldskool but it should work :)

Thanks for reply...

I've fixed links to the images... Take a look carefully....

Main idea that cloud generated from fluid... and light linking is not supported for the fluids  ...

I've tested it...

Hi,
U could light link all your objects in the scene by first putting off the "Illuminates by default" option in your scene lights. Then light link these to your objects in the scene.Next unlink the light for your clouds from the scene objects.
Basically it means that the object lights affects nothing but the linked objects and the cloud lights though affect everything are unlinked from the scene objects.
I hope it was not confusing.
This is a very roundabout method but should work.
