Hi my name is Tim, I have recently come up with the idea to make a fully animated themed water park in 3d. I am doing this because I think it would be a nice project to learn a lot on and it could be nice looking in the end. What I am doing here is I am looking for a small group of people that would like to help me on this. I myself am not a expert in modeling or aniamation etc. I can do some stuff. What I mainly need is a group of people that either are experts and would just like to help, or other poeple like me that want to band together to help each other and to learn from each other as we go. If anything of this sounds like something you like to do tell me. If you want more info tell me.

Hmm looks like no one wants to help. Is there a reason for that?

I would suggest you do a lot more yourself to encourage others to jump on.
For example, have a clearer written statement of what you want to do, do some concepts and even start generating content with regular updates so people can see that you are committed to your own project. You don't have to be an expert to do any of this. Take the time to look around this collaborative forum and you will see what sort of projects make progress and the ones which don't. You really need to give the impression that your project is interesting, will last, will make progress and be worth anybody's time. One post probably won't do it. Oh, and don't be too ambitious esp if this is your "first time". Hope that helps;).

Thank you for at least responding and explaining things. As for a more detailed explaination, I will post that after I get a more concrete one.

There are some other things you might want to consider.
1) What will be your management approach. Are you going to be rigid with your idea? Or will you let the team decide the course and content of the project. Basically, what is your leadership style.

2)What are your quality guidelines. Will you let anyone who is interested join? Or are you looking at people above a certain skill level.

3) What's in it for people who join? Is it just for fun, will you encourage tutorials.

It is very important to show committment to your own project and if you don't have a thick skin, grow one now, you will no doubt at some point receive some flack from someone over even trivial things. Again, read through the forum on recommendations on how to actually run a collab.

If managed well, collabs are great fun and an incredible way to learn. Have fun:).

To answer your questions/guildlines real quick.
1. I am a person that still would like to have the final say but is very willing to listen to peoples ideas and to try to incorprate them in the project if they are good.
2. I am letting anyone join, as of now, that wants to try to make this project no matter your skill level.
3.The main purpose is mainly for fun. It is also for the team as a whole to learn from each other and to learn more about group work. It is also a project so show off what you can do.

As for details on project still coming soon, like when I wake up from sleeping here in a couple of hours.
