Hey,

See the bellow image.

This is from a water effect im working on. Im trying to do a shadow pass, but the shadows dont seem to work with the refractions (note that the surface is totaly matte, it should see through to the shadows)? See my previous post for an exsample of what im working on, i really need to do a shadow pass looking through the water to composite into a real bowel. Any ideas?

Hi there, ndeboar!
You should check your Ray Depth Limit in the Raytrace Shadow Attributes inside the light that's generating the shadows. It is probably set to 1, but it should be set to a higher value depending on how many surfaces the shadow rays would have to go through till they hit the camera.
