Ok you asked for it hard so I'm going to get picky :) but before i start its a great idea for a vase I think it would be very popular, it would look even better if the elephant was crouched onto his back legs making a longer vase.
The shadow map isnt working the elephant looks like he is floating, the vase looks glazed but still seams very dull, I think it should have more specular highlights, the daisy looks very dull as if it is make of plastics and paper.
The modelling looks great to me I think all the problems are in textures. Good job. look forward to any updates.

Nice. I agree with above, an other thing is that it looks like it should be made of some sss material.

I totaly redid the lighting setup. Before I just used 2 area lights and 2 spot lights for bounce. This time I used an HDRI dome for ambiant light, and a couple area lights. I messed with the material of the elephant a little, but most of the difrence is in the lighting and rendering. I think this one looks better. Hmm, should this be WIP if I post twice like this? I used a photo of a similar vase I found on some antique web site, so I can't take credit for the idea. I just wanted to model something simple so I could try the lighting. I know there's some aliasing problems, but XSI won't render the scene anymore which it does every so often :( I hope I can fix that, otherwise I'll have to set up the lighting again. Again, critique hard, I can take it.

Yep i agree that is definatly an improvment the shadow under the vase is still wrong for the lighting on the vase, I think the colour/texture on the stalk of the Daisy needs looking at too.
Good update!

Hmmm, just checked this at home and the images apeared as little icons saying it can't do remote linking. Is this what people are seeing or are they seeing my picture? I thought it was working but I guess not.

Hi,
Great subject. The style of the model is very nice, I like the carved feeling.
The thing that bothers me about the shadows is why would someone take a picture of an object on the side that isn't lit? Also, the highlights don't seem to be coming from the same light as the shadow, but that might just be the angle.
I might make the yellow on the flower a little more vibrant. The line of the image moves my eye to the flower every time. It would be nice if there were something a little stronger there than the yellow that you have now. I really, really like the simple flower though and making the color more bold might ruin it.
Thanks for the peek.

Yes all of your images have disapeared, perhaps you should compress them down nicely and attach them to your post

Hmmm, that's a pain. Guess I need to find a better place to put pictures. Well here's the last one. Thanks for looking.

The elephant is nice  , but i would make another background for the picture, something lighter, with warm colors.
And the flower's stem looks a bit not real. But it's just my opinion :)
