I am an independent game developer (Jagged Blade Software) who is about to start work on a shoot em up game, and am looking for a reliable, fast and talented artist to work on this project. Being independent my budget is certainly not huge, but I am confident I can pay at a fair rate.

The game will require 2D graphics in a cartoonish style. Too be honest I am open minded as to how 'cartoon' to game should look, but I am certainly looking for more than 2 colour shading. You will need to be able to create 2D sprites of furry animals, goofy looking aliens, and military vechicles, and animate them. You will also need to be available between now and christmas.

The game will need:

1. A single furry rodent (haven't decided precisely what kind of rodent) on all fours from a side on view, with a 12-20 frame running animation. He will be wearing a military hard hat and have a small gun turret strapped to his back. He should look tough, but in a non threatening way. Possibly will need another version, swimming in water (only top half will need to be drawn, head poking out of water)

2. A 1024x768 splash screen, featuring the earlier rodent, holding weapons and looking tough. With a nice text based logo near the top. Possibly some goofy aliens in the background.

3. Several (around 20) side on vechicles, piloted by goofy aliens (don't need to show them in all vechicles), flying saucers, alien fighter craft, alien tanks. Some will need minor animation (wheels turning, helicopter blades etc)

4. A few kinds of static goofy alien, wearing an opened parachute (maybe 3)

Most of these graphics will be between 128x128 and 256x256 in size, 16bit colour.

There will be more than just these to do, but it is not essential you work on the other things as well. Please email me giving me a rough quote for the above work, how long it will take you, and when you are free to start. Having a portfolio, or examples of work similar to this would be great.
