422 South is an award-winning cgi / sfx company with its main office in Bristol UK, though working for broadcast TV clients around the world.
We would like to appoint an exceptional talent to head our CGI department. We are looking for an experienced and ambitious individual who will relish the challenges presented by clients demanding the very best in digital effects and CGI, and in particular, fully-realistic effects for high-profile documentaries.
To be successful you must be highly-creative, able to ‘think outside the box’ to achieve fresh, innovative solutions; you will have an appreciation of all aspects of CGI and compositing, be able accurately to assess a brief in terms of time and resources, and enjoy developing good client relationships.
In addition, you will have:
an excellent all-round working knowledge of Maya ( three years minimum)
very good technical skills , preferably some programming knowledge of MEL and C++
a keen visual sense of what makes an effects shot look real.
