View Full Version : Suitable ~$500 LCD monitor for 3d work / Photoshopping?
milqman 08-10-2005, 05:27 AM Hi there!
Are there any LCDs under $500 (US) that are considered adequate for 3d work and heavy Photoshop/Illustrator work? I need good response time, accurate color representation, etc etc. Anything pro-grade? I'm looking at the Dell FPW2005 20.1" widescreen. Anyone have any comments on that?
Thank you!

I highly the recomend the Dell 20" widescreen. Look around for a good coupon for it, I was able to get both of mine for about $440 a piece. They are beautiful monitors, and I think a pretty good deal. The 2001fp is also a great monitor if you don't want to do the widescreen, but that's just personal preference. If you want a better response to this post you probably should have posted it in the hardware discussion forum.

How does the Dell 2005FPW widescreen compare to the 20" cinema display?

i'm working with that monitor at work right now, and we use 3dsmax and it's great. only one problem was just a video card issue but i updated the driver and there's been no problems since.
i hate going home to my 15" CRT now...i'm definetely going to get one of these pretty soon...where can you get a 30% coupon or something, does Dell usually have deals on their site or something?
oh, but to answer your question...i haven't seen the other one, so i can't compare the two.
