Does the demo come with tutorials not included in the EB release? If so, would it be possible to provide them in a separate download?

Yes, it does. Just download the demo installer - it's only 700 k and lets you choose to download just manuals, sample scenes or the application demos you want.

The demo comes with mountains more tutorials than the early bird does. And they are available on their own. Simply choose to download the demo, then it will ask what components you want, deselect the bits you don't want and just get the tutorial manuals.

Hmm.. im downloading now (on 512k ADSL) from the DE server as the UK server when I tried it it said that couldnt download some file or something... well, anyway, It's been 126806KB of 126806KB downloaded for some time, but im pretty sure its still downloading things, as I've only got 17 of 26 files done, and winxp task manager is showing activity. Anyone else getting this?

Wow r8 is kicking, playing with the bounce repell system and realised that you could probobly make quite good fluid effects with this, next andavced redner dof...

Same here...I've got 17 out of 26 files and I've reached the maximum (126.806kB) and an option to cancel...?? ? Can't stay up all night...

I think that the only problem is that the files are still downloading while the indication one gets *seems$ to have reached the end... So when it says 16 or 17 and the transfer bar seems to be at an end, the download isn't completed and simply goes on. I'm now at 26 of 26...it's installing...completely with Bodypaint (which I have), and much, much more... aaarrrghhh! This will end in a sleepless night...

Hlleo again. Cancelled the download after getting file 17 and a reported full download. Started the installer again hoing it might remember some of the stuff it had downloaded. Unchecked tutorials and other memorygobblers. Run...
Everything was already downloaded so now I am up and running.
First impression: Everything look more or less the same but the GUI is snappier, more responsive and the renders seem faster too.

Same thing happens, it still downloading while the bar is full marked with 126806k of 126806k, how long should i wait to finish?

Just one remark when you download the demo:
-First you download an installer
-This gives you the option to choose whether you want to download the app only, or the tuts, or both
-The installer dialog box is a bit awkward: it says that you have to download 26 files, but after 16 (17) you get the impression that the download is completed. Yet you only have the option to cancel. Don't, and be patient. The 26 files will download, and the the installation willl start.
You get: C4D8 with Advanced Renderer, Bodypaint, Dynamics, Mocca, Pyrocluster and Thinking Particles, and tuts for the above mentionned Modules.
There's NO manual in the download, only the message that the pdf version will be on the CD and has to be placed in the appropriate folder.
